comforted by traffic?

I never felt like I was at all disconnected with the rest of the world but the other day as I was driving I felt strangely comforted by being one of the masses. I am usually on the road between 2:20-4:00 - that is when I pick up the kids or to go to the gym and sometimes later perhaps at 7-8pm if the kids have one of their many functions or I am out of milk. It just so happened that the other day I worked late and then opted to go to the store before I picked up the kids. This meant that I pulled out of Tae Kwan Do around 5:30. As I was stuck in prime-time rush hour traffic, I was strangely comforted that so was everyone else. Not even in a spiteful way, I felt peaceful and connected to everyone else on the road. Strange no?
